Following my family’s recent house move from a big five bedroom single house to a one bedroom apartment I am slowly adding in simple, inexpensive and only what’s truly needed in our new place. The hustle of emptying and cleaning a big house when you’re moving is a nightmare, an experience I wouldn’t dream going through again. Hence we’re in this small apartment right now while waiting for our next big move. And, boy, I love it here!
Today I found a need for side tables in the bedroom. Though I go for simple lifestyle I am not restrictive to using furnishings that will enable me, and who’s ever at home, to feel comfortable through the order that it can bring into the place.
But I don’t need fancy and expensive ones. I don’t know why but maybe because of my continuing spiritual nourishment my earthly tendencies are slowly waning out and it’s great that my simplified and inexpensive lifestyle can find fulfillment at Walmart.
It feels great when you are able to stretch your dollars by buying a couple things of what you need from inexpensive stores like Walmart. And after you have spent for those stuff you still have money left in your pocket. Gone were the days when after shopping guilt follows after exhausting my money from non-cheap stores. Goodbye to that lifestyle. I’m not going back there again, hahah!
And so I found the perfect and inexpensive side tables suited for a small apartment.
For a set of two at $15 I found what I perfectly need. (Oh boy, how thrifty I am! 😀 )
But of course, everything depends upon your financial capacity. It’s just not wise to buy something expensive when there are alternatives to a less expensive one. We have to take into account that we have responsibilities to others in need and if we used up our means to something not that important we would find ourselves unable to follow God’s expectation to take care of his flock.
