Following are my top five reasons why I blog about Jesus:
1. Jesus is our King, I want to honor Him in everything I do, even when blogging
In any country around the world the most talked about and most written about personality on newspapers and magazines is always the president of the country.
Have you realized that?
But then, in the whole world there is One who is king of all. Jesus! That said I want to take the privilege of joining the ranks of those who blog about Jesus. And thereby honor Him in my own little way by blogging about Him.
Mind you, taking Jesus with us every day of our life, in whatever task we undertake, and wherever we may go, will bring us a great reward both personally and spiritually.
Why? You ask.
Because Jesus is God.
And if we have God we have everything!
2. His name is above every name
Ever heard the song that goes “at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, every tongue confess?”
That is how mighty Jesus is. Mere mention of His name makes every one listen. Or, pays attention. That’s why when we pray we always end with “in the name of Jesus.”
Because Jesus name commands. That is why we need to know what power works in the name of Jesus so we don’t miss what great thing is at our disposal by using the name of Jesus.
We pray to God for healing, in the name of Jesus. We pray to God for a solution of a problem, in the name of Jesus. We ask God for money, or anything else we desire, in the name of Jesus, etc. etc.
That’s right! Jesus name is the name above every name!
The name that commands!
I WANT TO BLOG ABOUT THAT NAME! 🙂
3. He is the way, the truth and the life
The world is in chaos.
People are suffering.
Poverty, hunger, homelessness.
How can we mend the broken soul?
Look to JESUS.
He is the way, the truth and the life.
No one attains peace, joy, completeness, abundance, healing, etc. except through HIM.
What little way I can do to tell every one who are hurting that: JESUS CAN HEAL YOU!
JESUS is the answer to all your troubles.
Go to Him, NOW!
4. He commands us to make disciples of all nations
What an easy way for me to follow that command of our Lord and master by blogging about Him.
But how about you who are reading this, right now?
What are you doing to make disciples of all nations?
Do you wish to honor Jesus by doing as He comands – making disciples of all nations?
If you are not in that situation yet, I invite you to ponder about it now. Consider now what you can do in response to this great call of God.
This was His parting words to the eleven apostles and several disciples before He was lifted up to heaven:
“Go! Make disciples of all nations and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
5. He needs to reach the unreached
When I was new in my community, Couples For Christ, I was puzzled why we have to take the word “evangelization” seriously.
Obviously, there was no one who does not know Jesus.
In fact, most of those who know Jesus are believers of Jesus, right?
Truth is many still don’t know Jesus. Even those who are believers of Jesus don’t know Him.
They don’t know God!
That’s why many believers are living defeated lives.
Jesus needs to reach them. He wants to reach them. But He needs hands and feet to do that.
I wish this blog will become a bridge in reaching the unreachable, in bringing Jesus to those who haven’t heard about Him, and in bringing the believers to a full knowledge of God.
